Government Responses To Combating Gender-Based Violence In The United States: Symposium- Shining the Light on Gender-Based Violence at Home and Abroad [pdf]
This presentation was part of a day-long symposium hosted by the Penn State Journal of Law & International Affairs(JLIA), the Center for Immigrants Rights, the Family Law Clinic and the Community Law Clinic. This symposium brought together top scholars, government officials, and practitioners to explore the role of domestic and international law in protecting victims of domestic violence. The program will offered CLE credit, and feature a keynote address and two panels. This presentation covered the history of The Violence Against Women Act and furthered identified the particular immigration remedies available to victims.
