Best Practices That Support and Promote Safety of Immigrant Survivors of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Stalking, and Human Trafficking in Missouri

Description

Through this webinar, participants will gain practical skills to better screen, support, and assist immigrant survivors eligible for immigration legal remedies (VAWA, T visa, U visa, and SIJS). The training emphasizes trauma-informed practices and strategies to enhance the safety and economic security of survivors. It also covers public benefits and services open in Missouri to all survivors and how qualified immigrants can access a broader range of public benefits. Participants will learn how to use NIWAP’s public benefits map and state-by-state charts to identify benefits for which immigrant victims may qualify. Attendees will also be introduced to NIWAP’s technical assistance, materials, tools, directory, web library, and NIWAP’s community of practice for ongoing peer-to-peer learning.
