Maryland Association of Victim Services Providers: Best Practices For Serving Immigrant Survivors of Domestic and Sexual Violence, Child Abuse and Human Trafficking (December 12, 2025)

Description

This training was held on December 12th for the Maryland Association of Victim Services in Crownsville, Maryland. Through this training, participants learned best practices for serving, supporting, and working with Immigrant survivors of domestic and sexual violence, child abuse, and human trafficking. The training emphasized strategies for supporting immigrant survivors by applying for victim-based forms of immigration relief, using tools that ensure they receive VAWA confidentiality protections, securing effective and creative remedies in protection and peace order cases, and ensuring that immigrant survivors and their children can access all benefits and services for which they are legally eligible.
