Best Practices for Serving Immigrant Survivors of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, Child Abuse, Human Trafficking, and Stalking: Immigration Legal Remedies, Family Law and Public Benefits in Maryland – For All Seasons Inc. (December 17, 2025)

This training will provide For All Seasons staff and collaborative partners with current best practices for professionals who assist immigrant survivors of human trafficking, domestic and sexual violence, child abuse, and stalking. Participants will learn how to screen survivors for immigration legal remedies (VAWA, U visa, T visa, and SIJS), what state and federal benefits immigrant survivors of crime and their children are entitled to, and the importance in cases of immigrant victims of identifying human trafficking, including of children, that often co-occurs with sexual and family violence.   Faculty will provide an overview of NIWAP resources, including toolkits, screening brochures, interview tools, infographics on immigration options available to victims of crime, it’s newly created visual tools on public benefits and resources developed to assist professionals working with immigrant survivors of crime.
