The training focused on how law enforcement, through language access tools and U Visa certification, can hold offenders more accountable, enhance victim safety and participation in the criminal justice system, and ensure officer/victim/community safety.
Prosecutor Training Materials
This training covered the intent and basic requirements of the U Visa and how to enhance victim and community safety by using immigration relief as a crime-fighting too. The training provided guidance on how to analyze requests in the context of offender and victim dynamics and implementing common defense strategies to cases involving immigrant victims of crime.
