This presentation trained participants on the history and purpose of the Violence Against Women Act’s immigration protections, safety planning and deportation, services open to undocumented victims, legal rights of immigrant victims of sexual assault and domestic violence, VAWA confidentiality, how immigrant women will benefit from Comprehensive Immigration Reform and the International Violence Against Women Act.
