This training examines risk assessment and identification of adult victimization of immigrant victims, focusing on domestic violence, sexual assault, and immigration-related coercive control. It highlights high rates of abuse among immigrant women and children, especially soon after arrival in the U.S., and describes how abusers exploit immigration status through threats of deportation and withholding immigration paperwork.
