A statute explaining U visa applicants’ eligibility for Form I-918 Supplement B: the law enforcement certification form. The statute requires law enforcement to certify or decline cerification within 90 days of recieving the request in general, but within 14 days if the person is in removal proceedings or is subject to removal. The law includes limited circumstances for withdrawl and specifies that information relating to the victim may only be disclosed to comply with federal law, court orders, or discovery obligations, or to whomever the petitioner has provided written consent for disclosure.
