This presentation reports survey results that studied co-occurring domestic violence and child abuse among Latina immigrant mothers and finds that 39% of immigrant Latina women in the U.S. experience both domestic violence and child abuse, often facing barriers like language, fear of deportation, and economic dependence. It calls for more accessible, culturally appropriate services and policy changes to address these challenges and help battered immigrant mothers overcome barriers to seeking services and support for themselves and their children.
