Description
The type of immigration relief a victim receives and the state they live in directly impact which public benefits are available to them. In this workshop, participants learn about immigrant survivors’ legal rights to access specific public benefits and best practices when applying for VOCA compensation. Participants also learn to use NIWAP’s state-by-state public benefits online map and screening charts and identify which benefits immigrant survivors and their children are eligible for.
